Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Andhra Pradesh Unit, on the 11th of March, wrote an open letter to K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana.

In his letter, Kala Venkata Rao, a member of the TDP alleged the KCR led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) of conspiring against the TDP, ahead of the Andhra Pradesh (AP) Assembly elections.

Venkata Rao further mentioned, the TRS used the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to influence the Election Commission (EC) of India and held an early poll in Telangana.

Rao said, KCR dissolved the Telangana Assembly and went for a pre poll and contested the Assembly elections 6 months earlier.

Rao wrote, “You have forced the Central Government to conduct elections in advance. But we will still run like a racehorse like Usain Bolt in the coming elections.”

Later, Kala Venkata Rao also alleged TRS of helping the opposition party, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) in AP elections.

Venkata Rao wrote, “You are spending Telangana peoples’ money for Jagan Mohan Reddy. Jagan has been listening to you at every point from the selection of his party candidates to handing over B-forms. But, you can’t change an iota of AP Politics. Is it not a fact that you are sending Rs.2,000 crore to Jagan for elections who has no courage to face the TDP in Andhra Pradesh? (sic.)”

Adding to the allegations, Venkata Rao also said, the data theft case involving IT Grid Private Limited and the TDP, following which, the YSRCP filed a complaint against the TDP, was planned by the YSRCP and the TRS together. He proved his point by saying, the data theft case was filed to distract the citizens of AP and destroy the image of N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of AP.

The letter by the TDP member came after the TRS Government filed a case against the TDP in a data theft case.

Recently, the TRS and the YSRCP alleged the TDP of leaking personal information of approximately 3 crore voters of AP through an app, Seva Mitra.

However, the TDP denied the allegations and blamed the TRS and the YSRCP for the same.
The data theft case is said to be a big issue, ahead of the AP Assembly elections.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections, scheduled on the 11th of April. The major parties contesting are the YSRCP, the TDP and the JanaSena Party.

The results will be announced on the 23rd of May.
